HURRICANE IRMA UPDATE
2:00 PM EST, Wednesday (September 6, 2017)
As many of you are aware, Hurricane Irma poses an immediate and direct threat to most of the State of Florida. FLASHA encourages each of our members to remain vigilant and to stay apprised of the latest developments regarding this potentially catastrophic storm. We recommend that you follow the instructions of local authorities regarding evacuations or preparation recommendations.
As our FLASHA headquarters are located directly in the path of the storm, we may experience a reduction of services throughout the next few days. We have enlisted the services of auxiliary staff who are not located in the direct path of the storm to continue to provide member services, however they will only continue to do so if it does not jeopardize their personal safety.
We will continue to update everyone regarding this weather event, and will maintain member services as long as we possibly can.
Once the threat of the storm has passed, we will resume normal operations, and will work with local agencies to provide support services as necessary.
